I recently recorded a podcast for Selfwealth’s new podcast series Big Swinging Stocks. In this podcast with Aleks Nikolic, we talked about small cap investing for beginners and some of the mistakes that beginners make when investing in small caps.
I talk about how I started out with a mistake buying a zero revenue idea stock, Ceramic Fuel Cells, as my first ever stock, and talk about some of the earlier parts of my investing journey.
The 3 Rules For beginners I suggest are to buy:
- Look for companies that are making a profit, with a long term demand tailwind, and a competitive advantage.
- Honest and competent management.
- Look for capital light companies companies with the ability to reinvest profits at higher rates of return.
