Advance Nanotek (ASX: ANO), formerly known as Anataria (ASX: ANO), is an Australian manufacturer of mineral oxide formulations, such as Zinclear (Zinc) and Alusion (Aluminium).
The zinc formulations are used in sunscreen, to block UV rays. Mineral sunscreens using zinc (or titanium) are an alternative to chemical sunscreens using avobenzone, homosalate, octinoxate, octisalate, octocrylene, or oxybenzone. Oxybenzone has been banned in some jurisdictions due to the risk that the chemical could do damage to coral reefs, when spread about by oiled up tourists.
