Aeris Resources (ASX: AIS)

Aeris Resources (ASX: AIS) was originally floated as Straights Metals in 2011. However after multiple changes to strategy including it is now principally a copper mining company, although it also mines gold, silver and zinc.

Aeris Resources operates a diverse portfolio of established mines and development projects across Australia. Its wholly owned Tritton Copper Operations in New South Wales is a long-life underground copper producer and the cornerstone of the company’s copper output. In Queensland, Aeris owns the Cracow Gold Operations, a high-grade underground gold mine on the traditional lands of the Wulli Wulli people. In Western Australia, the company runs the Jaguar Operations, an underground zinc, copper, and silver mine acquired through the 2022 purchase of Round Oak Minerals. Also from that acquisition, Aeris gained the North Queensland Copper Operations, including the Mt Colin underground mine, the Barbara development project, and a large 1,102km² tenement package in the Mt Isa/Cloncurry region. Rounding out the portfolio is the Stockman Project in Victoria, an advanced, long-life copper and zinc development with all primary approvals in place and a definitive feasibility study underway.

As with any mining company, Aeris can control its costs to a degree, but will inevitably be impacted by the prices of the minerals it mines.
