Nearmap (ASX:NEA)

Nearmap (ASX: NEA) is an ASX listed aerial mapping company that makes subscription and usage based revenue by charging clients to use their aerial maps and associated software tools. This service allows governments, insurers, planners, builders and solar panel installers to do their jobs more efficiently.

 

Nearmap (ASX: NEA) became listed on the ASX in 2008 when it was acquired by listed company ipernica ltd (ASX : IPR). It monetised its images more aggressively from 2013 – 2014 onwards, and expanded aggressively in North America under Nearmap CEO Rob Newman, from 2015.
