Catapult International (ASX:CAT)

Catapult Group International (ASX: CAT) is a sports technology company founded in Melbourne in 2006 as a collaboration between the Australian Institute of Sport and the Cooperative Research Centres program.

Catapult (ASX: CAT) listed on the ASX in 2014 at an IPO price of $0.55. The Catapult share price rose rapidly in the following years as wearable athlete tracking technology gained widespread adoption in elite sport.

Catapult expanded aggressively, acquiring GPSports, XOS Digital, and PlayerTek to build a suite of performance analysis and video review tools. Catapult now serves professional teams across the NFL, NBA, EPL and other top-tier global leagues.

Catapult’s wearables and analytics are used by sports scientists, coaches and performance staff to monitor athlete load, reduce injury risk and improve on-field decision-making. The company generates most of its revenue via multi-year SaaS contracts.
